Public Notice of ECAN (Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal )
ECAN which has 143 members was registered in 2054 to unite the Educational Consultancy professionals in one organization and to make the profession more ethical. We would like to notify that ECAN members have to abide by the ECAN Codes of Conduct which was framed in 2063 and has been in force since then. Till date the membership of 3 Consultancies has been terminated because of the breaching of code of conduct. Few other Consultancies are under suspension which might lead to termination of the membership. This strong Public Notice has been issued in response to the unethical advertisements published by some of the ECAN members to deceive students and parents even after repeated warnings against doing so. Students and Parents are informed to be aware of the advertisements containing free counseling or work and study abroad messages. Such messages are not true and are also against the ECAN Code of Conduct. ECAN will take strong actions against such Consultancies. The names of these Consultancies will be circulated to all foreign embassies in Kathmandu and also will be published in the National Daily Newspapers.
